Associate in Specialized Business (A.S.B) Degree




This dynamic program prepares the student for a career as an administrative assistant. Students are given specialized instruction in the foundations of medical practice, legal practice and executive office management. to include medical and legal terminology, legal research and writing, legal office simulation, and medical office administrative procedures.


Students are trained to use Microsoft Office  – MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, as well as business management, customer relationship management, accounting and business law.


Students also receive instruction in the techniques of finding and retaining a job. Topics include interviewing skills, human relations, resume preparation, team building, professional appearance and behavior, workplace dynamics and ethics, and development of good work habits.


An internship offers the student the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience. The student assumes a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, which relate directly to the career choice.
