Training for a new career doesn’t have to be complicated or confusing. Our admissions department will walk you through the process of selecting the best program for you so that you make a great choice for your future. We won’t use complicated terms and we’ll make sure all your questions are answered. And if you’re not ready, we’ll provide you the information you need to decide if IMBC is right for you.
General Admissions Requirements
It’s as simple as 1-2-3!
Step 1 – Prerequisites
Before enrolling at IMBC, students must be able to demonstrate that they have met at least ONE of the following requirements:
- Be a graduate and have a valid diploma from an approved high school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or
- Possess a diploma from a state-authorized home school program; or
- Possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
All enrolling students will be required to provide documentation that they have met one of the options listed above. If you have met one of these requirements, IMBC can provide you information on how to obtain approved documents. Just call us for assistance.
Additionally, students attending class at one of our Pennsylvania campuses must be able to travel to and from the campus for all classes. Attendance each day is mandatory. If you do not have reliable transportation, please contact your admissions team. Both campuses are located along public bus routes. IMBC has additional transportation options for students that may be available upon request.
Online students must have access to a reliable internet connection and computer at their home or public library. If you do not have a computer or internet connection, please contact our financial aid team and we may be able to assist you in obtaining a laptop and the appropriate software. Online students cannot complete all of their coursework on a smartphone or tablet.
Step 2 – Admissions Appointment
All students thinking about enrolling must complete a career planning session with a member of our admissions department. During this meeting you’ll review career goals, learn more about the programs of your interest and have an opportunity to ask any questions. Students will also speak with a member of our financial aid department to review options for grants and aid (for those who qualify). Our financial aid department will dedicate personal one-on-one time to prepare a financial aid game plan for each student that makes such a request.
Our financial aid team will work with each student to develop a financial plan and explore available options.
Step 3 – Entrance Evaluation
At IMBC, your success is extremely important to our staff and instructors. We want to make sure that you have the right tools to ensure you get started on the right track. Therefore, all academic readiness of all prospective students will be evaluated prior to enrolling. You will complete a school readiness task called, “Wonderlic”, that is quick and simple to complete. If during the evaluation, it is determined that you require additional work before enrollment, the admissions department will provide you feedback on how to fill in the missing parts so that you can get started soon.
The Application & Enrollment Process
Each student will complete an application for enrollment at IMBC. The admissions team can provide you step-by-step directions but you must be able to complete the application yourself. Don’t worry, it’s not hard – you just need a few basic things like your address, phone number, name of your high school, etc. If you have a hard time finding information, our team can point you in the right direction to track it down. We can also help you set up an email account at no cost if you don’t already have one.
After Enrolling
Congratulations on enrolling! Stop for a moment and realize you are now one step closer to accomplishing your goals and reaching your dreams. The academic team will now review all your information and provide you with a personalized set of instructions on when your program starts, the materials you need for success (such as school supplies, books, etc.) and more. Don’t be afraid to ask questions – you’re a student and that’s what we expect! No question is too silly or complicated. You cannot learn if you don’t ask.
Restarting & Returning Students
Students who wish to return to IMBC to complete their program or attend another program are invited to contact admissions for an evaluation of their options.
Transferring Credits from another School
If you have taken courses at another school and would like to understand whether you can receive credit for those courses toward your program at IMBC, please contact the Campuses Academic Dean at 855.773.0758. You will be required to show proof of credit by having your prior school send an official transcript to IMBC. To get started, you may provide us with a print out or email of your unofficial transcript.

IMBC cannot request your transcripts from prior schools; you must do this yourself, but we can point you in the right direction. If your prior school charges a fee, you will be responsible to cover the cost.
Once we receive your transcripts and complete an evaluation, IMBC will document the transfer credit decision and provide you with the result. Not all courses will be eligible and transfer credit is issued at our discretion.

Students and alumni that wish to obtain a copy of their official or unofficial transcripts should contact the respective campus directly and ask for the Financial Aid office.

IMBC adheres to the requirements on a disability established under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. No qualified individual with a disability shall, on the basis of the disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefit of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination related to any of IMBC’s programs or activities. When a student self-discloses their disability, IMBC will make reasonable accommodations to include all students in the school’s activities and programs. The self-disclosure of the disability, along with documentation from a healthcare provider, should be made to the school director. Determination of reasonable accommodations will be made by the director.
