IMBC students begin to work with the career services team prior to graduating. In fact, you start focusing on your career on your first day of class at IMBC. You see, we never stop thinking about and preparing for careers, so we don’t want to wait until you graduate.
The career services team will work with you to develop a personalized plan of action optimized to help you land a job in your field as soon as possible. The career services team provides the following services (and more) at no cost to students:
- Résumé preparation
- Interview attire and preparation
- Mock/practice interviews
- How to speak to your strengths and transferable skills
- Answering tough interview questions
- Completing job applications
- Applying military and classroom experience in place of job experience
- Interacting with recruiters
- Transitioning from a student to a full-time employee
- Office professionalism
- Balancing your schedule between work and life
- Preparing a Graduate portfolio with each student for the Job interview process
Prior to graduation, you may also work with our career services team to set up an internship or complete your job shadowing, depending upon your program. Additionally, the career services team may work with you to prepare for and take a certification exam to obtain your license, depending upon your field of study.
