Medical Office Administration Career Training

Medical office administration includes a wide range of administrative activities, such as organizing files, preparing documents, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, and collecting payments. Additionally, as a medical office administrator, you may be responsible for helping order supplies, assisting staff with various office functions, handling mail, and recordkeeping.

You may work with patients to record their medical histories, assist with arrangements for services such as hospitalization, or process insurance payments.

The ability to be professional, provide excellent customer service, enter accurate data, multi-task, and maintain confidentiality, are essential skills for success in medical office administration.

This residential training program at the Erie or Pittsburgh, PA campuses will teach you to perform these administrative and clerical skills so that you can contribute and support a medical office in a meaningful way. 

The 9-month program does not require an internship and can be completed on-campus or by taking some classes on a traditional campus (in classrooms) and some courses online from your home. If you do not live in or near Erie or Pittsburgh, PA and you wish to student Medical Office Administration, you can complete a similar program at IMBC, offered entirely online.
